Annual Kitsap County Kids’ Day
It’s a FREE fire and life safety event for kids of all ages. It’s held each year at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and features inside booths, entertainment and food, as well as an entire outdoor area with “touch-a-truck” displays and demonstrations by actual firefighters.
This one-day event draws approximately 4,000 attendees. Each organization has an engaging, interactive activity with a safety message.
One of the biggest draws of our event is the bike-helmet fitting area. We offer bike helmets to children and adults for little, to no cost; and we make sure these are fitted properly. Approximately 500 helmets go on the kids each Kids’ Day!
Come at 6:00 p.m. to socialize and grab a bite to eat. Each legislative district hosts the meeting meal. Suggested donation is $5.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. All PCOs are eligible to vote. All Democrats may join after this meeting (and ahead of time online at http://www.piercecountydems.org/. The agenda includes an opportunity to learn about the standing committees, and some of the new opportunities the chair would like you to consider. Everyone will have the chance to select a committee or workgroup! You will also hear about upcoming events, fundraisers and LDs news.
Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day, is a holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 announcement of the abolition of slavery.

MoveOn Brunch & Social
Since November, Americans have been engaged in nonstop resistance to the dangerous rhetoric and actions of the Trump administration and the GOP. Millions of us have marched, protested, called, written, and otherwise stood up. It’s time to take a moment and celebrate what we’ve achieved — and recharge for the work ahead — with a summer social gathering: a Resistance Summer Community Cook-Out!
The Resistance Summer Community Cookouts are an opportunity for a range of local and national partner groups in the Resistance to come together with friends old and new. We’ll build our relationships and celebrate the diversity that makes us stronger. Our goal is to encourage taking care of ourselves and each other, to celebrate all we’ve achieved, and to enjoy ourselves! These are ways to reinforce the resilience of the Resistance and help us to stay in it for the long haul.
