Precinct Committee Officer and New Member Orientation
Newly elected Democratic Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) and new Members are invited to join us for orientation. Katherine Woods, our past Chair, will present what a Precinct Committee Officer (PCO) does, some tools, and a suggested activity timeline. New members: a Precinct can often be over 1000 voters. There is a reason it says Precinct Committee. For us to be successful, every PCO could use some help. Find out the building blocks of electing candidates and building relationships with your neighbors. Click here to RSVP so we can have materials ready about your precinct.
If you are interested in becoming a PCO or participating in a Precinct Committee, check our PCO page for more information on being a PCO. Click here to check and see if your precinct has one.
Kitsap Builds Bridges, Not Walls
On Feb. 25, from 1-3 p.m., come show that Kitsap Builds Bridges Not Walls!
Join in a mass vigil of solidarity and justice as we form a bridge of humanity on the sidewalk of the 1572′ length of the Manette Bridge. We must not be passive bystanders in times like this when marginalized people are being targeted because of their religion, ethnicity, and nationality. We must speak out, stand, and act for anyone who is targeted. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
Take a stand to show your support for our immigrant, refugee, and Muslim neighbors. Show that hate, intolerance, and bigotry have no place in Kitsap. From one end of the Manette Bridge to the other, show that Kitsap is a place of inclusion, respect, dignity, and justice.
Bring colorful signs, banners, prayer flags, pennants, and balloons. Bring your family! Come join in this community-wide celebration of diversity, inclusion, solidarity, and justice!
