26th LD Democrats Upcoming Dates & Information
Come to our September membership meeting! We meet on Thursday, September 3rd at the Givens Community Center, Kitsap Room, 1026 Sidney Road, Port Orchard from 7 to 9 p.m. Meetings are preceded by a social time starting at 6:30. Our social hour this month will feature sandwiches, cake and a beverage for a suggested donation of $5. See you there!
The Bremerton Blackberry Festival is coming up and we still need volunteers for our booth. Dates open are Saturday September 5th, Sunday September 6th and Monday September 7th. We’re working hard to get out the vote, pass out petitions for important initiatives and meeting and greeting festivalgoers. Upcoming Gig Harbor Chamber Forums
Democrats and teachers will want to join the next two Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce Public Affairs forums on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. On Thursday August 13th, Jan Angel will give her legislative report and on Thursday August 20th, Jesse Young will present his. The location for these forums is Cottesmore of Life Care, 2909 14th Ave NW, Gig Harbor 98335. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions.
Kitsap Candidate Forums Announced
Dates have been announced for the 2015 Primary candidate forums in Kitsap County.
On Tuesday July 14th, the League of Women Voters-Kitsap will be hosting a candidate forum for the Bremerton City Council Position 6 race. Candidates include incumbent Roy Runyon and challengers Richard Huddy and Kim Faulkner. This forum will take place at the Norm Dicks Government Center (345 6th St, Bremerton 98310) and will start at 6:30 PM. This event will be aired on BKAT–Bremerton Kitsap Access Television on July 16th at 8 PM, July 17th at 10 AM, July 20th at 2 PM and July 21st at 10 PM.

Ballots for the August 2015 Primary Election are to be mailed out to voters by July 17th with Election day falling on Tuesday, August 4th. View our 26th LD Democrats endorsements here.
